Maintenance and Troubleshooting

One of the main factors of ensuring the accurate and reliable measured results is to maintain the instrument carefully. As long as the operators have a clear maintenance plan, the frequency of automatic maintenance will be reduced to the minimum.

• 1.Startup Cycle and Turn Off Cycle

At the beginning of the each working day, the instrument will run the startup cycle automatically. At the end of the each working day, the turn off cycle should be run. After turn off cycle, turn off the power supply.

• 2.Back Flush

Please use this function when there are often abnormal parameters in the measured results of normal patience. The operator can use this function to clean the jammed counting chamber micropore.

Click on “Maintain” in the main interface, click on “Back Flush Aperture”, then click on “Execute” button.

Open the door of the instrument to check whether the liquid can flow through the micropore. Please watch carefully whether there are small air bubbles from count top through count
tube. After back flush, check whether the liquid flows back through micropore. (Watch carefully whether there are small air bubbles from count top through count chamber.) If there are no small air bubbles flowing into count tube or count chamber, the micropore may still be jammed. At this time, please do the concentrated cleaning.

• 3.Concentrate Cleaning

The operator can use this function to clean strongly the WBC and RBC counting chamber and micropore.

Prepare the following solution:
Containing 12% effective chlorine concentrated cleaning solution or bleach.

Specific Operation as follows:
Click on “Maintain” under the main interface, carry out the “Drain WBC Counting Chamber” command and “Drain RBC Counting Chamber” command successively. Open the door of the host, pour the selected 4ml bleach into the WBC counting chamber and then pour the selected 4ml bleach into the RBC counting chamber. After pouring bleach into the above counting chamber, they should be soaked 15minutes, then carry out more than three times “Back Flush Aperture” procedure, finally carry out “Auto Clean” command when you find that small air bubbles flow into the counting tube or counting chamber.

• Important Note: When you check the whole blood component concentrates, you must consider the linear range of these component parameters and their related parameters. It is very easy to pollute the counting holes when you check these concentrates. Suggest that carry out 3times “Back Flush Aperture” command or one time “Concentrate Cleaning” command after finishing these tests.

• 4.External Cleaning

Because the instrument is in the biotic environment, It is necessary to clean and sterilize the outside surface. Please note that do not spill the liquid on the instrument.

◆Do not use the disinfectant containing the alcohol.

◆Do not use solvent or corrosive substances.

◆As soon as possible to erasure the small amount of blood.

◆Before cleaning the surface of the instrument, be sure to turn off the main power supply. You must ensure that the instrument is full dry before turning on the power supply again. Wipe the contaminated surface with a sponge dipped in a small amount of disinfectant. Also use the same method to wipe the stainless steel contaminated surface, and then keep dry with a soft cloth.
